Embodiment Construction

[0033] 1). The multi-channel media access control protocol divides network time into periodic beacon frame intervals, and each cycle is subdivided into three sub-intervals, which are synchronization control interval, multi-channel data transmission interval, and beacon cycle end interval ;Periodic time intervals are implemented using the kernel timer of the operating system. Each node maintains 3 periodic kernel timers, corresponding to 3 events: the start of the synchronization control interval, the start of the data transmission interval, and the end interval of the beacon period Start; consider 3 non-overlapping channels on the 2.4GHz frequency band, one of which is selected as a temporary common channel and can be used as a data transmission channel, and the remaining two channels are used as data transmission channels;

[0034] 2). When the synchronization control interval start timer expires, the node will first use the timing synchronization function of the 802.11 protoc...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method based on multi-channel medium access control protocol in an ad hoc network, which is applicable to temporary mobile ad hoc network applications with the requirement of transmitting a large amount of data, as long as each device has a Wi-Fi (wireless-fidelity) network card, the method can be realized. The designed multi-channel medium access control protocol utilizes three non-overlapped physical channels on 2.4GHz frequency band for simultaneously performing data transmission, network time is planned to periodic beacon frame intervals as a whole, and each period is further subdivided to three sub-intervals which are synchronous control interval, multi-channel data transmission interval and beacon period end interval respectively. The synchronous control interval is used for transceiving beacon frames and reserving a channel, an internal node of the multi-channel data transmission interval is switched to the reserved channel for performing data transmission, and the internal node of the beacon period end interval finally stops receiving data of the upper layer and is further switched to a common channel. Practical tests and result analysis show that, compared with the ad hoc network of 802.11 protocol, the multi-channel ad hoc network based on the method can significantly improve the throughput of the network.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of wireless communication, and relates to a multi-channel media access control (MAC) protocol for a single-hop self-organizing (Ad hoc) network, specifically in an Ad hoc network composed of Wi-Fi devices , the network can use multiple physical channels to transmit data at the same time, and it solves the problem of improving the Ad hoc network throughput. Background technique [0002] Current wireless communication networks usually appear in the form of cellular networks or wireless local area networks. These wireless communication networks and wireless communication technologies are supplements and developments to fixed wired networks, they require the support of fixed infrastructure, and generally adopt a centralized control method. However, in some special environments or emergencies, such as the rapid deployment and advancement of troops on the battlefield, search and rescue after natural disasters suc...
