Problems solved by technology

[0004] Usually, the conversion output power of the PD tube is relatively low, and directly connecting the RF signal converted by the PD tube to the antenna often cannot meet the requirements of the transmission power. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the amplifier, and each additional device will make the antenna system Lower integration and higher costs

Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention disclose an active optical antenna, a microwave transmitting system and an information sending method. The active optical antenna includes: a substrate; a ground disposed at the bottom of the substrate; a power supply grid and several antenna units that are disposed at the top of the substrate, and photodetector tubes that are disposed in the substrate and located between the antenna units and the ground, where the power supply grid supplies power to the photodetector tubes, the number of the photodetector tubes is equal to the number of the antenna units, and output ends of the photodetector tubes are coupled with the antenna units to output radio frequency signals; and optical waveguides which are disposed in the substrate and connected to the photodetector tubes. By applying the embodiments of the present invention, the costs of the antenna are reduced and an integration level of the antenna is increased. Furthermore, the signals which are to be transmitted and received by the antenna are optical signals. Therefore, complex optical splitting may be completed by using a planar waveguide technology, so that optical power distribution is completed in an optical domain, which avoids matching and attenuation in an electrical signal distribution network.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a communication system, in particular to an active optical antenna, a microwave transmitting system and a method for transmitting information. Background technique [0002] As a traditional communication method, microwave has played an important role in the field of communication. Microwave has inherent advantages such as simple deployment, low cost, and long transmission distance. With the continuous development of communication networks, microwave still has a very wide range of applications, especially in the backhaul of mobile base stations and remote areas with complex terrain. Microwave is being widely used due to its own advantages. With the continuous increase of transmission data traffic, the traditional microwave frequency band is becoming more and more crowded. In order to improve the transmission bandwidth of microwave, the industry has found a new spectrum frequency band of E-band microwave (E-BAND): 71-76GHZ / 81-86G...
