Problems solved by technology

If a single mechanical defoamer is used to produce a ton of glutamic acid with a 110kW motor, it will cost 52 yuan based on the electricity cost of 0.5 yuan / kWh. However, the effect of mechanical defoaming is not very ideal. Usually, a combination of mechanical defoaming and defoaming agent is used. The production cost of fermenting one ton of glutamic acid is not less than 50 yuan

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for eliminating foam generated during fermentation. The method is performed by adding an edible alcohol solution with a volume concentration of 50-96% into a sprayer, and thus eliminating the foam generated during the fermentation process by spraying. The method employing alcohol spraying to eliminate the foam generated during fermentation also belongs to a method using a defoaming agent, and has the advantages that: the method can eliminate the foam quickly and thoroughly, the foam can be eliminated at once after alcohol spraying, the raw materials used in the method have no any side effect on the fermentation broth and have a bactericidal effect, the production cost is low and the operation is convenient. The method can be applied to the fermentation production of biological products (e.g. amino acid and alcohol) without influencing separation, extraction and purification of the fermentation products. As compared with the prior art, the method provided by the invention has the advantages of available raw materials (edible alcohol), low production cost, simple operation and fast elimination of foam; and in addition, the raw materials cause no environmental pollution, are unnecessary to be separated from the fermentation broth, and can prevent mixed fungi pollution during the fermentation process.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of fermentation such as production of fruit wine, white wine and beer, brewing of vinegar, etc., and specifically relates to a method for eliminating fermentation foam. Background technique [0002] In the production of microbial fermentation, a large amount of foam is produced in the fermenter due to stirring and carbon dioxide exhaled by microorganisms. The foam is a small bubble formed by the interaction of some colloidal substances such as air, carbon dioxide, protein and sugar. The accumulation of small bubbles is formed. A lot of foam (Kou Tianping. Foam elimination in fermentation production [J]. Fermentation Technology Communication, 2004, 35). Since the current fermentation process is mostly flow-added sugar process, there is less constant volume in the early stage, and high-concentration sugar liquid is added when feeding in the later stage, which not only increases the volume of the fermentation l...
