Abstract

The invention relates to an intelligent current stabilizer and method controlled by electro-rheological fluid, which is mainly characterized in that the self-adaption adjustment for the flow speed of the fluid is realized based on the combination of a laser speckle speed measurement technique and an electro-rheological technique, thereby reaching the purpose of current stabilization. When laser beams pass through the fluid containing trace particles, the transient speed of the fluid is obtained through a laser speckle speed measurement method. The transient speed of the fluid is compared with a set speed value through a control program, the electric field strength value applied on the fluid is determined; the fluid scattered with the trace particles generates electro-rheological effects; and the flow speed of the fluid in a pipeline is adjusted to be in correspondence with a set value by changing the solidification degree of the fluid, thereby realizing current stabilization. The invention can realize real-time measurement for the flow speed of the fluid and can realize automatic control for the flow speed and flow quantity of the fluid; and simultaneously, the system has the advantage of simplicity in structure and is easy to realize.
