Abstract

The invention provides a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) capable of adjusting the linearity of a gain and a two-point modulator based on the VCO. The two-point modulator is based on a phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit, wherein a control voltage of the VCO consists of two parts, namely a loop feedback control signal and a modulation control signal. For the modulation control signal, by connecting two or more groups of varactors in parallel and applying different direct current bias voltages, the mismatching of modulation gains is reduced because the varactors have the characteristic of adjusting the linearity of a frequency-voltage gain of the VCO; and each group of varactors is connected with a fixed capacitor in parallel, so the mismatching of a manufacturing process of the varactors can be reduced. By adoption of the circuit structure, the modulation error of the two-point modulator can be reduced.
