The manufacturing method for the insulator umbrella skirt comprises the following steps of: a. making the three-dimensional glass fibre fabric into an annular sheet and then soaking the annular sheet in the epoxy resin; b. uniformly smearing resin containing ceramic powder on the surface of the annular sheet when solidification begins, later placing the annular sheet in an umbrella skirt die; and c. increasing temperature for shaping and then stripping the die after solidification, thereby manufacturing the hollow glass-reinforced-plastic umbrella skirt. The invention also discloses a hollow insulator and a solid insulator which comprise the insulator umbrella skirt, as well as manufacturing methods for the hollow insulator and the solid insulator.
