A water flow guide (5) is provided to the membrane module (3) in the flow path thereof through which water to be treated flows, and the water flow guide (5) is provided so that the area (S2) of the opening of the flow path out of which treated water flows is less than the area (S1) of the opening of the flow path into which the water to be treated flows. Such membrane modules (3) are stacked on each other in the direction of the height of the housing (6) to configure a membrane unit (2).
