Abstract

The invention relates to a method for processing 4N high-purity quartz by utilizing vein quartz as a raw material. The method is characterized by taking HC1 as a pickling reagent, adopting secondary water quenching and pickling optimization processes and comprising the following steps: 1. grinding the raw material vein quartz until the grain size of powder is not greater than 30mm and then screening the powder into 5-30mm; 2. washing the material to remove sundries and the material containing impurities; 3. roasting the material at 1000 DEG C for 0.5-2 hours and then quickly quenching the material in distilled water at room temperature; 4. drying the material and grinding the dried material until the grain size is not greater than 40 meshes; 5. roasting the material at 650 DEG C for 1-3 hours and then quickly quenching the material in distilled water at room temperature; 6. drying the material and screening the dried material into 40-70 meshes, 70-140 meshes and not greater than 140 meshes; 7. pickling and purifying the material, wherein the process conditions are as follows: the acid concentration of the pickling reagent HC1 is 10-30%, the solid-to-liquid ratio is 1:2, the temperature is 60-150 DEG C and the time is 2-6 hours; 8. washing the material with ordinary distilled water twice and washing the material with purified water once to twice; and 9. drying the material, thus obtaining the 4N high-purity quartz with corresponding grain size.
