Abstract

The invention provides a method for producing a high-quality forged material by using a large-scale vertical type continuous casting round billet. The method comprises the following steps of: preparation of billet materials, a hot feeding procedure, a heating procedure, a forging procedure, an annealing procedure, a rectifying procedure and inspection of finished products, wherein the vertical type continuous casting round billet is used in the preparation of the billet materials, and a round forging billet is subjected to hot feeding and forging after continuous casting. By using the method, the conventional mature and new technology which improves the quality of forged materials is used, and the round-section forged materials, of which the diameter is between phi250 and phi1000mm and the length is less than or equal to 12000mm can be produced. Compared with the prior art, the method has the following beneficial effects that the high-quality forged materials of multiple alloy steel can be produced, and the quality is far superior than that of the forging materials produced by die casting, so that the forged materials can be directly used as high-quality steel materials, and also can be used as high-quality billet materials in the downstream pressure machining procedure; and therefore, the large-scale and the half-continuity of the round section forging materials with large diameter and large length are realized, the production rate and the yield are improved, the energy consumption is reduced, and the environment protection is facilitated.
