Embodiment 1
[0049] Example 1: Boundary lubrication
[0050] Intrinsic lubricity of the lubricant package was evaluated in a boundary testing machine. The prescribed test procedure commonly used to evaluate the lubricating properties of lubricants used in aluminum cold rolling was used.
[0051]
[0052] The reference (commonly used in industrial rolling mills) has a coefficient of friction of about 0.08-0.13 in different types of aluminum strip. As shown in the table above, Formulation 1 demonstrated a CoF successfully within this standard range, while Formulation 2 had a lower CoF.
Embodiment 2
[0053] Embodiment 2: antifouling performance
[0054] Stain resistance is a key parameter for strip cleanliness after rolling and annealing. The anti-fouling properties of lubricant fluids are evaluated by the stack stain test. This is a key parameter which evaluates the strip cleanliness after rolling and annealing. To test the lubricant fluid, the fluid was applied between the surfaces of two aluminum panels and wrapped tightly with tape. The wound sheet was then placed in an oven at approximately 90°C while being pressurized with a load of approximately 4.5 kg. After 24 hours, the wrapped panels were removed and the surface was observed. Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) was used to measure the amount of different elements on the stained surface. Oxygen is used as the subject matter for evaluating the degree of water pollution.

Embodiment 3
[0058] Example 3: TGA
[0059] For rolling mills without cleaning lines, the evaporation properties of aqueous lubricants are important. To be able to roll all aluminum alloys, all material on the aluminum surface must be removed below 240°C. Therefore, according to the TGA curve, the product should evaporate before reaching this temperature. The thermal stability and evaporation performance of the aqueous lubricant packages were evaluated by thermogravimetric analysis ("TGA") to show the cleanliness of the tape surface after annealing.
[0060] The above test results were obtained in air conditions. Such tests can also be performed in an oxygen environment.
[0061] From the results shown in Figure 1 it can be seen that the single-phase water-based lubricant fluids of Formulations 1-2 evaporate at a higher temperature than the reference. However, they evaporate completely below 240°C. Based on this property, a clean plate surface is also expected to be obtained aft...
