The method comprises the processes of calculating calcining dolomite, a reducing agent, an additive and other reaction materials, milling and uniformly mixing reactant, pressing the reactant powder into blocks and putting into a reducing tank; carrying out a thermal reduction reaction on the reactant in the tank under an absolute pressure P of 1-20Pa and at a temperature T of 1300-2000K; and respectively collecting reduced metal steam, and condensing to obtain condensed magnesium and calcium. The method disclosed by the invention is short in manufacturing process and low in residue, and is a metal preparation method which is high in resource and energy utilization rate.
