The composite material is prepared from the following components in parts by mass: 40-70 parts of polycarbonate, 30-60 parts of glass fiber, 0.08-0.6 part of antioxidant, 0.1-0.6 part of anti-drip agent, 0.5-5 parts of lubricant, 0.08-5 parts of flame retardant and 1-5 parts of solvent. The preparation method of the composite material comprises the following steps: (1) weighing the polycarbonate, antioxidant, anti-drip agent, lubricant, flame retardant and solvent; (2) proportionally putting the components into a mixer, and mixing for 10-30 minutes; and (3) putting the raw materials mixed in the step (2) in a double screw extruder, weighing the glass fiber, performing side feeding, performing melt extrusion, and granulating.
