Abstract

The invention provides a broadband amplitude signal power supply modulator and a modulation method thereof. The broadband amplitude signal power supply modulator comprises a basic clock generator and drive circuit, an amplitude signal generator, a pulse modulator and drive circuit, a switch amplifier, a rectifier and an on-off control circuit T, wherein the basic clock generator generates clock signals of which the duty ratio is 50% to drive a cascade system of the switch amplifier and the rectifier; the amplitude signal generator generates amplitude signals, the signals are modulated via the pulse modulator to realize presentation of the amplitude signal information on a node A after the connection and disconnection of the on-off control circuit T is controlled, so that loss-free amplification amplitude signals of the output end are achieved. As the switch amplifier and the rectifier both of the broadband amplitude signal power supply modulator work at a constant switching frequency, efficient conversion can be realized; the amplitude signals are modulated through changing the voltage state of the node A instead of changing the switching frequency or the duty ratio of switching signals, so the amplification of broadband amplitude signals can be realized.
