According to the pesticide composition which contains the cycloxaprid and the chlorfenapyr and is used for being applied to plants or growth environments of the plants, and a method for preventing or controlling pests by applying the pesticide composition, the composition having the insecticidal activity has a synergistic insecticidal action. The method for protecting the plants comprises the step of contacting the plants with the composition having the insecticidal activity.
