Abstract

The invention relates to a drug-loaded acupuncture needle capable of enhancing effects of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis and an application thereof. A method for preparing the drug-loaded acupuncture needle comprises the following steps of a) taking a proper amount of salviae miltiorrhizae, adding 5-10 times amount of ethyl alcohol with a volume fraction of 80-95%, performing reflux extraction 1-4 times, combining extracting solutions, and concentrating and drying the extracting solutions so as to obtain salviae miltiorrhizae extracts, wherein the duration of each reflux extraction is 0.5-3 hours; b) taking a proper amount of PLGA (Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)), adding chloroform to dissolve the PLGA so as to prepare a solution with a PLAG mass concentration of 1-3%, adding the salviae miltiorrhizae extracts prepared in the step a, stirring to dissolve the salviae miltiorrhizae extracts, spraying the solution on the needle body surface of the acupuncture needle by utilization of a spraying method, and drying the acupuncture needle for 8-20 hours under a vacuum condition. The drug-loaded acupuncture needle prepared according to the invention has the advantages that the salviae miltiorrhizae extracts, which have obvious effects for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, are contained, can be stably bonded with a high polymer material PLGA, and can be quickly released in a human body, so that the drug penetrating amount is increased, and an excellent therapeutic effect is obtained in clinical trials.
