Abstract

The invention discloses a pitaya grafting method which comprises scion processing and grafting. The scion processing means cutting off all the phloem on the lower portion of pitaya scions. The grafting includes the steps that pitaya root stocks are broken, cross sections of the pitaya root stocks are leveled, the parts with the scion phloem cut off are inserted into the phloem of the pitaya root stocks from the cross sections of the pitaya root stocks, the scion inserting parts are tightly attached to the pitaya root stocks to leave no gap. By means of the method, the complex and toilsome processes that cactus thorns or toothpicks are stabbed into root stocks intermediate bundles to be connected with the scions, and then the cactus thorns or toothpicks are used for fixation, bundling and the like through an existing pitaya flush joint method are omitted, and the processes that plastic adhesive is needed to conduct fixation and plastic bag sleeving through an existing pitaya wedge connection method are omitted. By means of the grafting method, accelerated connection and growth of wood between the scions and the root stocks are promoted, operation is simple, time and labor are saved, and the cost of labor and the like is saved by 25% per mu compared with an existing grafting method.
