Abstract

The invention provides an application of a pyruvic acid compound in cigarette filter tip preparation as an additive for reducing the inhalation amount of harmful substances in smoke. Compared with the prior art, the application of the invention has the characteristics as follows: (1) a small-molecule compound is adopted to react with harmful substances, so that the harmful substances are absorbed, part of the harmful substances is removed efficiently, and the combustion performance of cigarettes is not affected; (2) a small amount of pyruvic acid compound is consumed, and the cost is low; and (3) the pyruvic acid compound in an abandoned filter tip is easily degradable, and does not cause great harm to the environment.
