The preparation method comprises the following steps: dissolving carbomer and adjusting a pH value so as to obtain a solution 1; then dissolving butylacetamidoethyl propanoate, menthol, glycerin, hyaluronic acid and the antiseptic so as to obtain a solution 2; and uniformly mixing the solution 1 with the solution 2. The mosquito-preventing jelly provided by the invention is in the form of transparent paste, and is beautiful in appearance, convenient to carry and long in mosquito repelling time. The added menthol can exert cool and refreshing effect and restore consciousness. The added hyaluronic acid exerts good moisture retention effect on skin.
