Abstract

The invention provides a manufacturing method for spheroidized abrasives. The manufacturing method comprises the following operating steps that (1) a steel wire is cut into cylindrical steel wire cut segments of which the diameter is equal to that of the steel wire through a segment cutting machine; (2) after being repeatedly cast and ground for 20-40 minutes in a spheroidizing machine, the cylindrical steel wire cut segments are put into a roundness sorting device to be subjected to roundness sorting, and the bent segments and the oblique angle segments are removed; (3) the steel wire cut segments screened by the roundness sorting device are continuously put into the spheroidizing machine to be cast and ground till all the steel wire cut segments are rounded, and steel shots are formed; (4) the steel shots are screened in a screen net of which the diameter is 0.2 mm smaller than that of the steel wire, globules and slag scraps are removed, and spheroidized steel shots are obtained; and (5) the spheroidized steel shots are subjected to rust-proof treatment, packaged and warehoused. According to the manufacturing method for the spheroidized abrasives, the manufacturing process is simple, convenient and easy, and the manufactured metal abrasives are smooth in corner angle, uniform in particle size and not prone to being broken.
