The soil monitoring system comprises a soil monitoring module, a wireless transmission module, a control module, a display module and an alarming module, wherein the soil monitoring module comprises a plurality of soil monitoring units; the soil monitoring units comprise a temperature sensor, a GPS (Global Positioning System) positioning unit, a humidity sensor, a soil pH (Potential of Hydrogen) sensor, a heavy metal electrochemical sensor array, a heavy metal signal adjusting circuit and a microcontroller. In a working process, the control module is used for controlling the display module to display soil quality information of each soil monitoring unit; and when a heavy metal concentration is higher than a pre-set heavy metal concentration threshold value or the soil pH is not in the soil quality information with the pre-set heavy metal concentration threshold value range, the display module is controlled to distinctly display the soil quality information and alarming module is controlled to alarm. The soil monitoring system is simple in structure and can be used for reflecting the concentration of cultivated soil pollutants in real time.
