Abstract

The invention discloses a SaVP1 gene from vacuolar pyrophosphatase of Spartina anglica and application thereof. The nucleotide sequence of the SaVP1 gene is as shown in SEQ ID No. 1; the cDNA full-length sequence of the SaVP1 gene is composed of 2506 nucleotides and contains a complete open reading frame; and the complete open reading frame is composed of nucleotides at site 192 to 2195 and has a length of 2004 nucleotides, initiation codon is ATG and termination codon is TAA. The gene is applicable to improvement of characters like salt resistance, drought tolerance, cold resistance, high yield and heavy metal ion enrichment of plants.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of plant genetic engineering, and relates to the sequence and application of a coding gene SaVP1 derived from tonoplast pyrophosphatase of Spartina anglica. Background technique [0002] Spartina anglica (Spartina anglica) belongs to the Poaceae Spartina genus. It is a perennial wet herb suitable for growing in the tidal zone of the beach. As a halophyte, Spartina has strong salt tolerance and can grow normally in seawater with a salinity as high as 3%-3.5%. After being introduced in coastal beaches, once dense grasses are formed, they can resist large wind and waves, and have the functions of promoting siltation and land formation, reducing waves and resisting erosion, protecting seawalls, and improving beach soil fertility. There are salt glands on the dorsal and ventral surfaces of the leaves of Spartina, through which the salt absorbed by the roots can be excreted from the body, indicating that the salt...
