Abstract

The application of the tea saponin in the prevention and control of the aurelia is namely application of the tea saponin in preparation of an inhibitor used for preventing and controlling the aurelia. The tea saponin related in the invention is from natural ingredients obtained through extraction of seeds, stems and leaves of a tea tree in theaceae, is easily degradable in the environment, meets the ecological safety requirement and is a natural non-ionic surface active agent. Toxicity tests of the tea saponin on aurelia ephyra larvae and scyphistoma prove that the tea saponin has extremely strong killing toxicity on the aurelia ephyra larvae and scyphistoma and then can be applied to prevention and control of influence of an aurelia disaster on a coastal power plant and a marine aquaculture industry.
