The method includes that a coefficient matrix model for predicting the temperature of cable conductors is established through utilizing the given cable structure data and a transient thermal path model; the matrix is assigned by cyclic assignment when forming a coefficient matrix, and then the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the matrix are evaluated after forming the coefficient matrix; an integral function model is established according to the eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and then the integral function model is integrated to obtain a conductor temperature prediction model; the current value of the high voltage cable conductor is tested, and then the predicted temperature of the conductor is obtained through integrating by utilizing the conductor temperature prediction model and the predict moments and the electric current.
