Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of cosmetics, and particularly relates to a composition and application thereof in preparing a cosmetic with a brightening function. According to the invention, a honeysuckle extract, a magnolia sieboldii extract and a peach flower extract are compounded to obtain the composition; the obtained composition is mixed with glycerin and other components to form an essence which can scavenge free radicals, inhibit activity of tyrosinase and inhibit deposition of melanin to have whitening, brightening and antioxidation functions. Experiments show that theessence of the invention has a free radical scavenging rate of 35.87%-46.24%, decreases the content of melanin by 42.3%, and has a tyrosinase activity inhibition rate which can reach 79.07%-80.34%.
