Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of new applications of drugs, and particularly relates to an application of aspirin in preparation of drugs for treating IVDD (intervertebral disc degeneration). An intervertebral disc degeneration model is constructed by applying LPS (lipopolysaccharide)-induced oxidative stress, the therapeutic effect of aspirin on IVDD is observed, and the therapeutic effect of Aspirin on IVDD is evaluated by observing oxidative stress and various indexes of IVDD. Western blot demonstrates the brief mechanism of Aspirin in reducing oxidative stress and alleviating IVDD. IVDD is caused by oxidative stress in intervertebral disc nucleus pulposus tissue, Aspirin delays IVDD by inhibiting the oxidative stress in the nucleus pulposus tissue and further reducing decomposition of cell matrix and type II collagen, so that a new approach is provided for prevention and treatment of IVDD.
