Abstract

The invention provides a roasting method of pyrite-containing bastnaesite. The pyrite-containing bastnaesite is sequentially subjected to low-temperature roasting and high-temperature roasting to obtain roasted ore, wherein the size of the pyrite-containing bastnaesite is 20-200 meshes, the temperature of low-temperature roasting is 200-500 DEG C, and the temperature of high-temperature roasting is 500-700 DEG C. The roasting procedure is divided into the low-temperature roasting stage and the high-temperature roasting stage, and therefore roasting of pyrite and bastnaesite in the pyrite-containing bastnaesite is achieved. During roasting, sulfur impurities produced by decomposition of the pyrite are removed in the form of gas, and ferrous sulfide is oxidized into magnetite which can be effectively removed only by magnetic separation. Sulfur and iron impurities in the pyrite-containing bastnaesite are removed by roasting, no additional chemical impurity-removal of iron and sulfur is required, no chemical cleaning material is required to be consumed, and a new solution for roasting decomposition and impurity removal of the bastnaesite is provided.
