The water-based printing ink is composed of water-based alkyd resin, modified acrylicresin, ceramic powder, inorganic pigment, a leveling agent, a defoaming agent and deionized water. Meanwhile, the invention discloses a corresponding preparing method. The method includes the steps ofadding the water-based alkyd resin and modified acrylic resin into a mixer to prepare a pre-mixture, preparing mixed color paste from the ceramic powder and inorganic pigment, mixing the pre-mixture,the mixed color paste, the leveling agent and the defoaming agent in a reaction still, and conducting dispersing and grinding to obtain the finished ink product. The water-based printing ink is freeof the solvent volatilizing problem and is healthier and more environmental friendly compared with traditional printing ink. By adding the modified acrylic resin prepared through a specific method, the adhesive force, viscosity and tinting strength of the ink are remarkably improved, and the ink has broad application prospects.
