Abstract

The invention discloses a picosecond fiber seed laser source structure which includes a laser linear resonant cavity. A semiconductor saturation absorption mirror, a beam splitter, a wavelength division combiner, a gain fiber, and a fiber grating are arranged in the resonant cavity. The wavelength division combiner is connected with a pump laser diode which couples pump laser into the resonant cavity through the wavelength division combiner. The beam splitter is connected with a fiber isolator and a polarization maintaining fiber isolator. The polarization maintaining fiber isolator is connected with the front output port used as a seed source output signal port. The fiber isolator is connected with a backward output port for monitoring and outputting a signal processed in the system. Thestructure uses the non-polarization-maintaining (SM) laser diode as the pump. Pulses output by mode-locked laser are linearly polarized signals, reducing production costs. In addition, the operating point of a beam on the semiconductor saturable absorption mirror can be moved in a straight line. By using a stepping motor, the overall service life of an ultra-short pulse mode-locked fiber laser isincreased by more than 20 times than the single-point service life.
