Problems solved by technology

However, in practical application scenarios, the multi-beam feed network based on Butler matrix mainly faces the following two problems: In the communication scenario, some beams point to the redundant space where there is no communication link, resulting in unnecessary waste of channel resources ; Each input port needs to be connected with radio frequency links including amplifiers and digital-to-analog converters. In massive MIMO applications, the increase in the number of radio frequency links will lead to an increase in the size and complexity of the system

Embodiment Construction

[0029] The implementation of the present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the drawings and examples.

[0030] see figure 1 , is a schematic diagram of the topology of the Butler matrix-based integrated multi-beam feeding network provided by the present invention. The integrated multi-beam feed network is set between the radio frequency port and the antenna port of the antenna array, and is implemented in the form of a microstrip circuit. The network is divided into two types, namely, a class A feed network and a class B feed network. The structure of the network is the same.

[0031] Each type of feed network mainly includes 2 input ports, 8 output ports, 2 power dividers loaded with phase shifters, 4 directional couplers, 6 cross couplers and 8 phase compensators. Each phase shifter and each phase compensator in each power divider is composed of microstrip delay lines of different lengths, and each directional coupler and each cross coupler ar...

Abstract

The invention discloses an integrated multi-beam feed network based on a Butler matrix, and designs a double-feed network framework based on the integrated multi-beam feed network, wherein the double-feed network framework is composed of two types of integrated multi-beam feed networks based on the Butler matrix. Each kind of feed network comprises two input ports and eight output ports, two powerdividers loaded with phase shifters, four directional couplers, six cross couplers and eight phase compensators. By arranging different phase shifter units, the two types of multi-beam feed networkscan form two groups of opposite gradient distribution phases of + / -22.5 degrees or + / -67.5 degrees at the output ports. The double-feed network frame comprises four input ports and sixteen output ports, can be arranged between a radio frequency port and an antenna port of the antenna array, is realized in a microstrip circuit form, is integrated with the antenna unit array, and can be combined toform four wave beams to realize area coverage.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of microwave engineering, in particular to an integrated multi-beam feeding network based on Butler matrix. Background technique [0002] In the implementation scheme of beamforming network, compared with phased array, lens antenna and other schemes, the circuit-based multi-beam feeding network has the advantages of simple design, small size, and easy integration. As a kind of circuit-like beamforming network, the traditional Butler matrix has multiple input ports and output ports at the same time, which can form a unique phase distribution between the output ports, and can realize the multi-beam requirements of the antenna array, so it has been widely studied. . Generally speaking, an N×N Butler matrix, that is, a Butler matrix with N input ports and N output ports, includes a certain number of phase shifters and directional couplers. Through proper setting of these devices, N kinds of phase distributions...
