Abstract

The invention discloses an improved method for lateral bulb propagation of narcissus. The method comprises the following steps of (1), directly planting seeds which are not castrated, removing all small scale bulbs at the outer side during harvesting in June, and leaving mother bulbs; (2) from July to September, performing high-temperature treatment on the mother bulbs in the daytime, controllingthe temperature to be 36-38 DEG C, keeping the temperature for 7.5-8.5 hours, and then naturally cooling the mother bulbs to room temperature; (3) in October, in the daytime, performing low-temperature treatment on the mother bulbs, controlling the temperature to be 5-10 DEG C, keeping the temperature for 7.5-8.5 hours, and then naturally cooling the mother bulbs to the room temperature; (4) in November, storing the mother bulbs at the room temperature; (5) in December, planting the mother bulbs as seed bulbs; and (6) after harvesting in June of the second year, storing the mother bulbs to autumn, and separating all the small scale bulbs as seedlings. According to the method, temperature-changing treatment is carried out in the bulb storage process, bud points on a bulb pan are promoted togerminate and grow into effective cormels, meanwhile, measures such as planting delaying and proper shallow planting are combined, and a proper amount of bulb slice nutrients are further consumed, sothat the purposes of more germination and increase of the number of the small scale bulbs are achieved.
