Abstract

The invention provides an NB-IoT (Narrow Band Internet of Things) terminal positioning system and method, which are used for positioning an NB-IoT terminal, and are characterized in that the NB-IoT terminal positioning system comprises: at least one NB-IoT terminal which comprises an application processor and a modem; an NB-IoT network which comprises a plurality of NB-IoT base stations, wherein the network signal coverage of each NB-IoT base station forms a plurality of cells; a cloud server wihch is in wired connection with an NB-IoT network. The cloud server comprises a base station information storage unit, a data decompression unit, a time delay estimation unit, a terminal positioning calculation unit and a positioning output unit. The cloud server performs time delay estimation according to the OFDM symbol acquired by the modem, obtains the time delay estimation difference RSTD between different cells and a service cell,and calculates longitude/latitude and confidence informationof the terminal position by using the time delay estimation difference, the base station position information, the base station synchronization time difference and the like as terminal position information of the NB-IoT terminal, and finally outputs the terminal position information.
