Abstract

The invention discloses an environment-friendly flame-retardant latex pillow and a preparation method thereof. The invention provides a preparation method for producing a flame-retardant latex pillowby using an intumescent flame retardant. The preparation method of the flame-retardant latex pillow comprises the following steps of: (1) mixing and stirring natural latex, a vulcanizing agent, a foaming agent and a foam stabilizer dispersion according to a certain ratio, and performing ripening; and (2) adding environment-friendly expandable graphite into the ripened latex, dispersing the substances uniformly, and then conducting foaming, mold injection, vulcanizing and drying. The latex pillow product is coagulated by carbon dioxide, expandable graphite is uniformly dispersed in the preparedlatex pillow core, and the pillow core has good flame retardance in the air and can be self-extinguished when being away from fire. According to the flame-retardant latex pillow, the use safety is improved while the excellent performance of a traditional latex pillow is kept.
