Abstract

The invention discloses a low-profile unidirectional radiation microstrip slot antenna array which comprises a dielectric substrate, an antenna structure arranged on the upper surface of the dielectric substrate and a reflecting surface covering the lower surface of the dielectric substrate, wherein the dielectric substrate and the reflecting surface are consistent in size; the antenna structure is formed by connecting eight antenna array elements in parallel in a 2 * 4 layout; the antenna array element is a geometrically symmetrical rectangular microstrip slot antenna and is composed of two rectangular metal patches with slots in specific geometrical shapes; each slot is formed by connecting three rectangular slots which are perpendicular to one another end to end; and the geometric shapes of the slots are completely the same and are symmetrical in the antenna array element. According to the invention, in a 5.8 GHz high frequency band, the antenna obtains a unidirectional radiation characteristic and a higher gain in an arraying mode so as to prolong the propagation distance of the antenna; the microstrip slot antenna is used as an array element, so that the antenna has the characteristics of low profile and miniaturization.
