Embodiment

[0113] Molten steel having the chemical composition shown in Table 1 was melted in a vacuum melting furnace, and cast into a mold to produce a small steel block (50 kgf). These small ingots were billet-rolled to form steel sheets, and then hot-rolled at a heating temperature of 1150° C. and a finishing temperature of 870° C. to form hot-rolled steel sheets (thickness: 4 mm). Next, the obtained hot-rolled steel sheets were subjected to cold rolling and spheroidizing annealing under the conditions shown in Table 2 to produce cold-rolled steel sheets with a thickness of 0.4 mm to less than 1.0 mm.

[0114] First, a test piece for structure observation was cut out from the obtained cold-rolled steel sheet, embedded in resin, polished and etched, and the structure was observed and photographed with a secondary electron image of a scanning electron microscope (magnification: 2000 times). Analyze and calculate the average particle size of carbides (d av ) and spheroidization rate (N...

Abstract

Provided is a high-carbon cold-rolled steel sheet having a sheet thickness of less than 1.0 mm. The high-carbon cold-rolled steel sheet has good impact characteristics and hardness characteristics and excellent wear resistance after shock cooling (quenching) after solution treatment and low-temperature tempering (quenching / tempering) for a short period of time, and has little reduction in secondary workability before quenching / tempering treatment. The high-carbon cold-rolled steel sheet has the steel sheet chemical composition containing, in mass%, 0.85-1.10% of C, less than 0.60% of Mn, 0.10-0.35% of Si, 0.030% or less of P, 0.030% or less of S, and less than 0.60% of Cr, with Mn+Cr satisfying less than 1.0%, and further containing 0.005-0.020% by mass of Nb, the remainder being Fe and unavoidable impurities, so that the reduction in secondary workability before quenching and tempering is reduced compared to the conventional steel materials. Furthermore, by forming a steel plate structure in which the average particle diameter of carbides is 0.2-0.7 [mu] m and the spheroidization rate is 90% or more, the machine component having excellent impact characteristics in which the impact value is 9 J / cm2 or more, sufficient hardness characteristics in the range of 600-750 HV, and excellent wear resistance can be produced even after the short time of quenching and tempering, such as 3-15 minutes.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a high-carbon cold-rolled steel sheet as a raw material of various mechanical parts manufactured by quenching and tempering and a manufacturing method thereof, in particular to a high-carbon cold-rolled steel sheet with a thickness of less than 1.0 mm used in knitting needles and the like. Background technique [0002] Generally, carbon steel for machine structures (S××C) and carbon tool steel (SK) specified in JIS are used for various sizes of machine parts. When used as a forging material, it is subjected to a quenching-tempering treatment after punching and various plastic workings to form a part shape, thereby imparting predetermined hardness and toughness (impact properties). Among them, the knitting needles for knitting knitted fabrics repeatedly reciprocate at a high speed while pulling the thread to knit the knitted fabrics. Therefore, sufficient strength and wear resistance are required for the stitches of the ...
