Abstract

Usnic acid plays a role in resisting PEDV (porcine epidemic diarrhea virus) in a dose-dependent manner, and has an obvious inhibition effect on different strains of PEDV, and the antiviral effect of usnic acid mainly plays a role in a virus replication stage. Research finds that PEDV infection can promote cell autophagy, autophagy has a promoting effect on virus replication, usnic acid can inhibit Vero cell autophagy, and through the effects of an autophagy accelerant 3-MA and an inhibitor rapamycin, usnic acid can play a role in resisting PEDV by inhibiting the autophagy process of cells. The invention discloses the inhibition effect and possible inhibition mechanism of usnic acid on PEDV for the first time, and provides a new alternative drug for prevention and treatment of PEDV.
