[0080] Liquid coatings of example formulations 1, 2, 3 and 4 were produced. Exemplary liquid coatings consist of two-component systems. The base components consisted of solutions of different polyols, pigments, solvents and other additives in specific amounts and types as shown in Table 1. Table 1 provides a tabular summary of each of the tested Example Formulations 1-4. Each example formulation consists of the following items: certain weight percents of one or more polyols 1-3; isocyanates 1-3; pigments 1-3; additives and solvents. Polyurethane-based coatings which exhibit superior erosion and heat resistance combined with antifouling and chemical resistance that are useful for protection of metal components are provided.
