Abstract

The invention provides a signal receiving and decoding method and device, and the method comprises the steps: employing a comparator array, comparing a pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) voltage signal with a plurality of reference voltages of which the number is a first preset number, obtaining a plurality of paths of time sequence signals of which the number is the first preset number, the multiple paths of time sequence signals are used for representing a comparison result of the comparison; and decoding the multiple paths of time sequence signals to obtain multiple paths of NRZ signals of which the number is a second preset number. According to the invention, the PAM voltage signal is compared with a plurality of reference voltages in an analog domain to obtain a plurality of paths of time sequence signals, and an analog-to-digital converter and a demultiplexer module which are complex in structure and high in power consumption are prevented from being introduced, so that the architecture of a circuit system is simplified, the power consumption of the circuit system is reduced, and the method is suitable for receiving and decoding PAM4 and higher-order PAM signals.
