2 results about "Acid tolerant" patented technology

Acid tolerance is a property which helps the bacterium to survive acid shock. In case of acid tolerance, the bacteria when present in mild acidic conditions say pH 4.5-5.5 it develops tolerance towards highly acidic conditions which can be below pH 3.

Method for synchronously removing benzene series and hexavalent chromium in acidic underground water

The invention relates to the technical field of underground water pollution low-carbon treatment, in particular to a method for synchronously removing benzene series and hexavalent chromium in acidic underground water, which comprises the following steps: gradually replacing electron acceptors required by microorganisms, obtaining acid-resistant anaerobic mixed flora capable of degrading the benzene series and simultaneously generating iron minerals from soil, the method comprises the following steps: adding ferric citrate and an acid-resistant anaerobic mixed flora into acidic polluted underground water containing benzene series and hexavalent chromium, culturing, degrading the benzene series, reducing the hexavalent chromium, and fixing part of the hexavalent chromium in iron minerals. According to the method, anaerobic microorganisms are used for degrading benzene series and generating iron minerals under the acidic condition, and in the process, hexavalent chromium is reduced and fixed by the iron minerals at the same time. Compared with the prior art, the method is suitable for acidic polluted underground water, does not need additional pH regulation and control, does not need oxygen supply, is simple to operate, can synchronously repair combined pollution, and is environment-friendly and free of secondary pollution.
