Abstract

The micro-gel emulsion is made from the following components through emulsion polymerization: the mixed monomer composed of butyl acrylate, 2-hydroxy ethyl acrylate and acrylic acid; N,N-methylene-bis-acrylamide which serves as the cross-linker; surfactants; free radical initiators; and deionized water; the solid content of the obtained emulsion is 28-35%. The waterborne reactive acrylic micro-gel emulsion and waterborne amino resin are mixed and stirred uniformly based on the mass ratio of 5:1 to11:1, then grinded by a tapered mill until the fineness is less than 20um, and then filtered by a 100-mesh screen to obtain the waterborne acrylic baking paint.
