Abstract

The invention provides a formaldehyde-free novel strong waterproof anti-freezing white latex. The white latex is characterized by comprising the following components in percentage by weight: 18 to 25percent of polyvinyl alcohol, 2 to 5 percent of glacial acetic acid, 0.2 to 0.5 percent of sodium hydroxide, 0.5 to 1 percent of hydrochloric acid, 10 to 15 percent of copolymerization emulsion of ethylene-polyvinyl acetate, 0.5 to 2 percent of chitin, 3 to 5 percent of glycol, and 40 to 70 percent of water. The white latex has the advantages of good waterproof and anti-freezing properties, high viscosity, difficult precipitation, no separation, the use of water as a medium, no containing of formaldehyde, urea and organic solvents, no combustion, no pollution of pungent odor, simple process, less equipment investment, low product cost, the suitability for popularization and application, and no environmental pollution. Therefore, the white latex is the novel product facilitating the protection of human health.
