Abstract

The invention relates to composite particles whose nano magnetic iron oxide particles are assembled on the surfaces of gold particles and a method for preparing the same. The composite particles comprise cores and nano magnetic iron oxide particles which are assembled on the surfaces of the cores. The composite particles are in the size of 20-200 nm, the cores are gold particles which are in the size of 10-100 nm, and the nano magnetic iron oxide particles are Fe3O4 or Gamma-Fe2O3 and are in the size of 5-50nm. The method for preparing the composite particles comprises the following steps: synthesizing the oil-soluble nano magnetic iron oxide particles with the hydrothermal process; dispersing the oil-soluble nano magnetic iron oxide particles in water phase with surfactant; mixing the water phase with AuCl-4 solution; adding an excessive amount of reducing agent to the mixture, and stirring the reducing agent to the mixture at normal temperature to make the reducing agent react with the mixture so as to reduce Au3+ to the gold particles; and assembling the nano magnetic iron oxide particles on the surfaces of the gold particles to obtain the composite particles whose nano magnetic iron oxide particles are assembled on the surfaces of gold particles.
