Problems solved by technology

[0003] With the change of the ecological environment, the number of giant salamanders is decreasing sharply. In order to protect this species, people have carried out various researches on the breeding and breeding of giant salamanders, and have also taken many measures, but the progress is slow and the effect is not great.

Embodiment

[0022] 1. Site selection and ecological breeding pond construction

[0023] Choose a free land with a river next to it at an altitude of 800-1200m in the Qinba Mountains to build a giant salamander ecological breeding farm. There are reservoirs and ecological breeding ponds in the farm. The reclaimed water is fresh, high-oxygen and transparent, and the river water can flow into the reservoir of the farm all year round. The water depth of the breeding pond is 20-30cm, and the water drop is about 5%, forming an artificial stream with the sound of running water. The bottom of the pond is covered with coarse sand and pebbles, and there are aquatic plants on both sides. There are giant salamander habitat caves in the pond.

[0024] 2. Water quality and water temperature control

[0025] Through the adjustment of the reservoir, ensure that the water flowing into the breeding pond is clear and transparent, the pH value is between 6.5 and 7.3, the dissolved oxygen is above 5.6mg / L, t...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for artificial propagation of giant salamanders and cultivation of baby giant salamanders, which is characterized in that an ecological giant salamander farm is built in an original ecological region, the water in a cultivation pond comes from ravine streams of the original ecological region, the male giant salamanders are ecologically cultivated in classified ponds in different stages, the female giant salamanders are cultivated through indoor artificial cultivation, the male parent giant salamanders are specially cultivated by controlling water quality and water temperature and timely deploying nutrition, so that sperm motility of the male parent giant salamanders can be improved, and reproductive rate of the giant salamanders is further improved by performing selection, artificial hastened parturition and artificial fertilization on the parents; the propagated baby giant salamanders are cultivated in three stages, and disease prevention for the baby giant salamanders is performed in the feeding process. With the method of the invention, productivity of the artificially propagated giant salamanders can be more than 90%, the rate of artificial fertilization can be more than 80%, and hatchability can be more than 83.51%. By applying the method, population quantity of the giant salamanders can be improved, and scaled cultivation of the giant salamanders can be implemented.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of animal reproduction and cultivation, and in particular relates to a method for artificial reproduction of giant salamanders and a method for cultivating juvenile salamanders. Background technique [0002] Chinese Giant Salamander (Andrias davidinus) is the abbreviation of Chinese Giant Salamander, commonly known as salamander. It is the largest amphibian carnivorous animal in existence. It is listed in Appendix I of CITES Convention. In the wild, giant salamanders generally like to live in Yinhe rivers, dark springs with limestone formations, and caves in mountain streams with water flow. Adult salamanders mostly live and move alone, not in groups. Wild giant salamanders are very quiet, afraid of light, afraid of sound, like clear water and afraid of muddy water. The most widely distributed giant salamanders are limestone formations, generally at an altitude of 300-1500m, the highest can reach 3000m, t...
