The invention discloses an on-line monitoring system and method of a railway switch machine motor, relating to an on-line monitoring system and method of a motor, used for online monitoring of the operation state of the switch machine motor, timely discovering equipment faults, and detecting the state and faults in real time. The system comprises a detection circuit, a sensor, an analog to digital converter, a singlechip, a communication module, a multi-path data processing unit and an upper computer, wherein the singlechip is coupled with the multi-path data processing unit through the communication module; and the multi-path data processing unit is coupled with the upper computer through a serial port. The method comprises the following steps: online monitoring the parameters of the motor; transmitting the parameters to the sensor for converting; carrying out analog to digital conversion on the parameter data converted by the sensor so that the parameter is converted into a digital signal; transmitting the digital signal to the singlechip for processing; transmitting the digital signal to the multi-path data processing unit through a network of the communication module; transmitting the processed data to the upper computer for further processing; and finally displaying the data through a graphical interface.
