The preparation method provided by the invention comprises the following steps: grinding the ginseng and the coptis chinensis in the twelve componentsinto fine powder; adding water to the residual 10 components to be decocted twice, wherein 1-3 hours in the first time and 1-2.5 hours in the second time; blending the decoction liquid; concentratinguntil the relative density is 1.20-1.35 (at 50 DEG C); vacuum-drying; grinding; blending with the fine powder of the ginseng and the coptis chinensis; and preparing various conventional preparations in the field. The hypoglycemic effect of the traditional Chinese medicine compound provided by the invention is obvious.
