The method comprises the steps: the fingerprint positioning system receives user measured data reported by user equipment, and determines positioning results of the user equipment according to the user measured data and information of the fingerprint sampling points stored in a fingerprint database; and the fingerprint positioning system inquires the fingerprint clustering corresponding to the positioning results, and uses the positioning error pre-estimating values corresponding to the inquired fingerprint clustering as the fingerprint positioning error of the user equipment.
