Abstract

An efficient and economical millimeter-wave RoF (Radio-over-Fiber) system relates to the RoF communication field, and solves the problems of a conventional RoF system, such as low efficiency and high cost. One path of a laser is connected with a first millimeter-wave antenna through a first 3dB coupler, a first MZ (Mach-Zehnder) bipolar electrode modulator, a first intensity modulator, a second 3dB coupler, a first EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier), an interleaver, a first photoelectric converter and a first millimeter-wave magnifier; and the other path of the laser is connected with a second millimeter-wave antenna through the first 3dB coupler, a second MZ bipolar electrode modulator, the second 3dB coupler, the first EDFA, the interleaver, a three-port circulator, a fiber bragg grating, a second photoelectric converter and a multiplier. The invention mainly realizes the RoF system with high efficiency and low cost.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of wireless communication over optical fiber (radio-over-fiber, abbreviated as RoF), in particular to an efficient and economical millimeter-wave RoF system. Background technique [0002] With the continuous advancement of science and technology, people's requirements for information acquisition are also increasing. Nowadays, wireless communication is popularized, but its transmission rate is far from meeting people's needs. Therefore, increasing the transmission frequency is an effective way to increase the data bandwidth. Those who, at present, the use of wireless frequency bands are tense, but the use of high-frequency millimeter wave bands is seldom, and the improvement of wireless communication frequency bands is also a trend. But in wireless communication, the increase of frequency means the increase of loss, and the coverage of each cell in the cellular system will be reduced, which in turn re...
