The power supply device is characterized in that the characteristics of the super capacitor and the storage battery bank are combined and the super capacitor and the storage battery bank are connected in parallel, so that the electric energy output by the super capacitor and the storage battery bank serves as the power supply voltage source for the power supply system together when the contact network is separated from the power supply system or the contact network has a power failure; and the electric energy needed for driving the vehicle to run can be conterminously output for a long time and power supply to the traction motor of the vehicle through the power supply system for a long time can be realized; and therefore, safe running of the vehicle is guaranteed.
