Abstract

The invention discloses a precision forging process for a fan-shaped forged piece. The fan-shaped forged piece is a fan-shaped worm gear which is one of parts in a high-voltage switch operating mechanism. The precision forging process comprises a step of preparing a bar stock; a step of heating the bar stock to 760 to 900 DEG C; a step of placing the bar stock into a pre-forming die, and forming pre-formed blank; a step of heating the pre-formed blank to 760 to 900 DEG C; and a step of placing the pre-formed blank into a final forming die, and forming a finally formed blank fan-shaped worm gear with an outer-circle flange and a center hole. The invention also discloses a large-angle fan-shaped worm gear and a small-angle fan-shaped worm gear, which are forged by the process, wherein the large-angle fan-shaped worm gear has a sector angle of 135 degrees, and the small-angle fan-shaped worm gear has a sector angle of 120 degrees. The fan-shaped worm gear is manufactured according to an actual operation fixing working angle of the worm gear, so that the material consumption of the precision forging process is remarkably reduced compared with that of the conventional integral round worm gear; and a product forged by the process is high in material density, neat and attractive in appearance, free of burr and flashing, low in machining allowance, material-saving and favorable for machining.
