Embodiment 1

[0125] (Manufacture of aqueous dispersion of VDF polymer (A))

[0126] Add 659.3 g of aqueous dispersion (solid content concentration: 45.5% by mass) of VdF / TFE / CTFE copolymer (=72.1 / 14.9 / 13 (mol%)) (VTC) particles as VDF-based polymer particles to a volume of 2.0L 37.1 g of Newcol 707SF (manufactured by Nippon Emulsifier Co., Ltd.) and 56.8 g of water were added thereto as an emulsifier in a detachable glass flask, and mixed well to prepare an aqueous dispersion.

[0127] Next, 185.2 g (71.2 mass %) of methyl methacrylate (MMA), 49.9 g (19.2 mass %) of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2EHA), methyl 14.3 g (5.5% by mass) of glycidyl acrylate (GMA) and 10.7 g (4.1% by mass) of methacrylic acid (MAA) were used to prepare a monomer solution.

[0128] The inner temperature of the separable flask was raised to 80° C., and the entire amount of the monomer solution was added to the above-mentioned aqueous dispersion of VDF / TFE / CTFE copolymer particles over 3 hours. Then, while adding the mon...

Embodiment 2~4

[0178] Except having used the monomer mixture shown in Table 1 as an acrylic-type monomer mixture for acrylic-type polymers, it carried out similarly to Example 1, and performed seed polymerization, and obtained acrylic-fluorine composite polymer, respectively.

[0179] Using the obtained aqueous dispersion of acrylic-fluorine composite polymer particles, a water-based paint composition for a clear paint was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1, and a coating film was formed and a test piece was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1. research. The results are listed in Table 1.

Embodiment 5

[0196] As the VDF-based polymer particles, use the aqueous dispersion of VdF / TFE copolymer (=80 / 20 (mol %)) (VT) particles (solid content concentration 10.0% by mass), except that, the same as in Example 3 Seed polymerization was carried out to obtain an acrylic acid-fluorine composite polymer.

[0197] Using the obtained aqueous dispersion of acrylic-fluorine composite polymer particles, a water-based paint composition for a clear paint was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1, and a coating film was formed and a test piece was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1. research. The results are listed in Table 2.

Abstract

Provided are acryl-fluorine composite polymer particles which are capable of acquiring water resistance even by a forced drying method and which are capable of reducing the amount of fluororesin while still maintaining weather resistance and chemical resistance, and an aqueous coating composition using the particles. That is, there are provided acryl-fluorine composite polymer particles comprising: (A) a vinylidene fluoride polymer containing, as structural units, at least one type of a fluoroolefin unit selected from a group consisting of a tetrafluoroethylene unit, a hexafluoropropylene unit and a chlorotrifluoroethylene unit, and a vinylidene fluoride unit; and (B) a crosslinkable acrylic polymer (B) containing a (meth)acrylic acid ester unit (b1) which is compatible with the vinylidene fluoride polymer (A), a (meth)acrylic acid ester unit (b2) which is incompatible with the vinylidene fluoride polymer (A), and a (meth)acrylic monomer unit (b3) having a crosslinkable group capable of cross-linking by heating. The mass ratio of vinylidene fluoride polymer (A) / crosslinkable acrylic polymer (B) is 10 / 90 to 90 / 10.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to novel fluorinated copolymer particles suitable for binders of coating compositions for coating various substrates, an aqueous dispersion containing the fluorinated copolymer particles, and an aqueous dispersion containing the aqueous dispersion. Compositions for coatings. Background technique [0002] As the paint composition for painting, in addition to organic solvent-based paints, water-based paints using water as a dispersion medium are known from the standpoint of concern for the natural environment and improvement of the painting work environment. In addition, from the aspect of coating of building materials, especially building materials such as roof materials and outer walls, excellent weather resistance is required, and fluororesins with excellent weather resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance, and film-forming properties have been specially developed. Development of waterborne coating compositions ...
