Abstract

The invention relates to a method for evaluating the water quality by use of an MT (metallothionein) gene expression mode of freshwater crayfish, belonging to the field of environmental biotechnology. The method is used for evaluating the water quality of industrial sewage by use of the MT gene expression mode of freshwater crayfish. By adopting the method provided by the invention, the MT gene is cloned from the hepatopancreas tissue of the freshwater crayfish for the first time, an industrial sewage stress experiment proves that the gene is related to the physiological reaction of the freshwater crayfish against water environment stress, and the expression mode of the MT gene of the freshwater crayfish after sewage stress can reflect the degree of water pollution. Therefore, the invention provides a comprehensive and quick technological means for evaluating the quality of the polluted water as well as the existing potential ecotoxicological effect by use of a biotechnological method, and has relatively broad application prospects in terms of environmental protection.
